聖保羅大學調查指出，巴西成年人在過去6年最常做的運動是步行（18%）、練肌肉和體操（11.2%），之後才是踢足球（7.2%）。

研究員係參考衛生部2006至2012年間，在巴西各大首府及聯邦特區抽樣調查訪問5萬4000名18歲以上民眾，主要參與的運動。

研究員相信，踢足球人數減少的主因是，適合踢球的空間減少，且沒有時間也沒有同伴一起玩。

步行是最簡單的運動，所以最多人參與；而練肌肉和體操之成為大眾化的選擇，則是因為民眾購買力提高，且健身房數量增加。

雖然如此，研究員德薩（Thiago Herick de Sa）表示，踢足球人數減少，練肌肉和體操人數增加，不等於原本踢足球的人改成上健身房。

調查還指出，半數受訪者在閒暇時不做任何運動；運動者中，男性占60%。

研究員認為，巴西人運動項目不夠多元化，反映出缺乏促進體育活動和運動的國家政策。(中央社)

美國肯塔基州私立Campbellsville大學21日舉行冰桶挑戰，造成在現場幫忙的消防隊員四人受傷，其中兩人傷勢嚴重。當地媒體報導，挑戰結束之後，兩位消防隊員搬移器具時，電線附近發生電弧，嚴重灼擊兩人，其中一人送醫仍情況危急。另外有兩位消防隊員受傷，但醫治處理後出院。Campbellsville 校長發表聲明慰問傷者家屬。
