【王烱華／台北報導】立法院預算中心的國安局預算評估報告中指出，特勤中心負責國家元首、副元首的人身安全維護工作，體能狀況及專業訓練是元首安全的保障，但體能的合格率卻僅有８成左右，有待進一步提升。

預算中心指出，特勤中心軍職人員及各特勤編組人員近年的體、技能鑑測結果，2010年度合格率尚達94.53％，2011年度及2012年度則各僅84.19％及89.28％，2011年度不合格人數達72人，2012年度亦有51人。

預算中心指出，根據特種勤務條例規定，鑑測不合格人員如係連續2年不合格，則須依規定不得從事特種勤務工作。但因此政府投注眾多資源培訓該等具特殊專長人員，卻無以為用的人力損失。國家安全局當盡其督導之責，於平時即加強該等人員之體能訓練與技能嫻熟之維持，俾進一步提升每年鑑測的合格率。

根據國安局特勤規定，每年實施的鑑測項目包括體能及技能兩部分。體能方面為：俯地挺身、仰臥起坐、3千公尺徒手跑步；技能方面為：拳術、游泳、射擊，共計6項，全項(6項)均應達合格標準始為合格。

【國際中心╱綜合外電報導】跨國媒體新聞集團(News Corp.)2011年爆出竊聽醜聞，驚動全球，經過近3年蒐證，案件將於28日在英國倫敦中央刑事法庭開審，8名被告將出庭應訊，包括新聞集團主席梅鐸的愛將布魯克斯(Rebekah Brooks)，以及首相卡梅倫的前首席新聞官庫爾森(Andy Coulson)等。英媒形容案件為「世紀官司」，預計審訊4個月，期間還可能會揭出更多爆炸性內幕。

就有媒體取得新聞集團英國報章部門前主管莫克里奇一段開會時的秘密錄音，她當時估計集團最終會因竊聽醜聞付出高達16.2億美元代價，遠高於集團公布的4.48億美元。 　

醜聞主角之一、集團旗下「新聞國際」前總裁布魯克斯被控以多項罪名，包括密謀非法截取手機留言、賄賂公職人員提供資料和妨礙司法公正等。她否認控罪，聲稱沒授權下屬進行竊聽，對事件亦不知情。庫爾森則是被控非法截取留言和向公職人員行賄換資料等3項罪名。案中所有被告全部否認控罪。
