英文有句話這樣說：“ Hindsight is 20/20.”

中文的意思就是「後見之明」。如果現在問我：「花三年的時間欠上一屁股債去念法學院 (J.D.) ，你覺得值得嗎？」我會篤定的回答：「不值得」。

但是九年前的我並不知道，也沒有仔細衡量利弊，只覺得念一個 professional degree 似乎更有保障也絕無害處。

經歷了將近五年苦多於樂的律師生涯後，我重新回到教育這個領域，希望藉由生命的歷練，幫想要到國外留學的年輕學子包裝、潤飾申請文件，並從過程中鼓勵他們要有不屈不撓的態度。更因為這份工作的關係，重新接觸了許多剛畢業和工作了不久的上班族。

要出國念MBA 先問兩個問題

面對年輕人計畫要留學到歐美念 MBA 學位時，我會先問：「你知道要花多少錢和時間嗎？你確定這是你所需要的東西嗎？」

如果前面兩個問題的答案都是 yes，我接下來會問：「你知道在商學院會學到什麼嗎？你了解這個學位對你未來職涯規劃或實踐的貢獻會是什麼嗎？」

通常會來諮詢的學生大部分已做了功課，心裡也都有個底。只是提起這一環，大家還是會忍不住訴苦。或許我的記憶還停留在當年，因此常常會對現今 MBA 高額的學費感到震驚不已。相信絕大多數的台灣家長聽到去美國念兩年書要5、6百萬台幣都會跳起來吧？！

可是為什麼還有如此多年輕人，即便知道這是一筆龐大的投資（無論是在金錢、時間或機會成本上），即使知道這投資的回報率未必讓人滿意，還是一窩蜂的想要去歐美取得一個 Top 15 的 MBA 學位？

首先，我們先從這一群年輕有為的青年才俊（young professionals) 申請動機談起：

1、對人生規劃清楚有野心，想要更上一層樓

在目前工作崗位已經做了4~5 年，薪資算不錯（以台灣薪資而言），而且所待的公司名聲規模均為中上。因拘限於目前的大環境以及職場晉升遇到瓶頸，所以必須要往外尋求另一條路。

這類年輕人也會是唯一比較能夠自己負擔（部分或全部）學費的一群，只是他們相對的野心勃勃，除了所謂的 M7（指的是一般市面上公認美國最好的商學院：HBS，Stanford，MIT， Kellogg，Columbia，Wharton，and Booth）到 Top 10 的學校，他們是不會考慮的。對於這群人，MBA 扮演的角色比較像是墊腳石。

【呂健豪／新北報導】新店區安康路一段今天下午4時許發生工人墜樓意外，1名49歲游姓男子，在10公尺高的工廠屋頂修理鐵皮時，不慎踩破採光板，整個人墜落地面，造成頭部撕裂傷、右腿開放性骨折。

【林巧雁／台北報導】金管會擬要求保險業投資單一公司股權不得超過5%，國泰金控總經理李長庚表示，保險業與銀行業功能不同，主管機關若擔心保險公司介入所投資公司的經營權，應該從財務投資的規範上著手，不應該本末倒置，把個案當通案處理，也會壓縮保險業未來的發展。
 
李長庚說，保險業跟銀行業不同，銀行的功能是仲介，保險的功能是長期投資，對銀行與保險的要求不必全都一樣。
 
李長庚今天出席國泰世華銀行的反詐騙短片徵選活動，被問到對金融購併看法，他表示有助於市場發展，國泰都會積極評估。他也希望兩岸服貿協議等對台灣金融發展有利的法案能儘速通過，台灣是個小市場，一定要走出去才能海闊天空。
 
他表示，沒有跟中國的寧波銀行接觸。是否會在上海自貿區設點？李長庚說，自貿區相關細節還不清楚，國泰世華銀在上海有分行，有機會一定會積極參與，至於是以購併或子行其它方式，不會自我設限，隨著法規與環境改變，要維持開放的心胸。
 
至於史上最大金額詐保案，建商許文同夫婦詐死向國壽詐保6400萬，法院做了烏龍判決，國壽表示，之後會隨檢調進度配合處理。據了解，國壽應會索回賠償。
