沈呂巡表示，2013年處理林案查到1個判例，英國法院曾盼台灣執行英國1項民事判決，判決文指未來台灣的民事判例也希望英方執行，並使用「承認」的重字眼，這是林案可援引的。

他指出，以往歐洲有些國家未必承認台灣具訴訟資格，現在不會有問題了，且歐洲20多國都可執行，因英國就林案的民事賠償宣判後，日後台灣對英國及歐盟各會員國可援引此判例。

台英雙方於2013年10月就林案簽署引渡備忘錄，英方隨即逮捕林克穎，羈押超過7個月。辯方律師至今仍以台灣與英國沒有外交關係為由，意圖拖延判決，但不為英國高院接受。

沈呂巡說，林克穎是英國公民沒有前科，但審理檢察官對台灣非常友善，有正義感，被告律師雖挑戰台灣外交地位，檢察官卻相當清楚台灣的地位。

林克穎因處理台灣稅務留下蘇格蘭地址，逃亡期間透過電郵與駐英代表處討價還價。沈呂巡回憶，這些往來電郵全呈交檢察官，因此循線找到他的藏身處，林克穎還在電郵中提出60萬元價碼，等同承認犯行。

沈呂巡曾多次前往愛丁堡旁聽引渡庭，對未來刑事判決相當有信心。他說，林克穎提出的理由都不是理由，由法官的表情和提問即可見端倪，當然林克穎可再上訴，他知道當庭辯論難占優勢，所以藉上訴拖延。

沈呂巡4月1日離開倫敦赴華府履新，對林案發展仍相當關切。他說，判決是值得高興的，雖然錢未必拿得回來，但原則已確定，走到這一步令人欣慰。(中央社)
