針對陸軍542旅下士洪仲丘枉死案，媒體報導國防部以國賠洪家模糊焦點一事，國防部27日鄭重表示，媒體報導內容絕非事實。
國防部發布新聞稿指出，國防部或陸軍司令部未曾向洪家、新聞媒體說過「將代洪家請求國家賠償1億元」，軍方亦未接獲洪家提出國賠請求書，新聞媒體相關報導絕非事實。
國防部強調，針對「洪仲丘下士死亡案」，軍檢已積極偵辦，不會包庇涉案人員，證據到哪裡，辦到哪裡，沒有上限。國防部一定會讓真相公諸於世，還洪府公道。
國防部發言人羅紹和26日表示，不管是國防部或是陸軍司令部都沒有說過將為洪家爭取1億元國家賠償。他指出，現階段國防部只有二項工作，一是還原真相、還洪家公道；二是，將洪仲丘的後事辦好。
