兩奪諾貝爾化學獎　英基因學之父病逝

【林奐成／綜合外電報導】唯一曾兩度獲得諾貝爾化學獎的英國科學家桑格（Frederick Sanger）週二在睡夢中過世，享年95歲。

英國廣播公司（BBC）報導，桑格被喻為基因學之父，是唯一曾兩奪諾貝爾獎的英國人，亦是唯一兩奪化學獎的科學家。外界稱讚他奠定人類閱讀和了解遺傳基因解碼的基礎，打開分子生物學、遺傳學和基因學的領域，發展出蛋白質和核酸的排序技術。
