美國與歐盟宣布對俄羅斯制裁措施之際，莫斯科政府也發出警訊，宣稱俄羅斯經濟已顯現危機的跡象。

俄羅斯副經濟部長貝里雅科夫說：「經濟情勢明顯呈現危機跡象。」他說，內閣必須避免加重企業的負擔，因為這是錯誤的作法。「先拿走公司的資金，隨後又要求他們的生產必須現代化，這是既奇怪、又不合理的要求。」
