約旦委派2001年至2013年的駐法國大使卡娃，擔任約旦駐聯合國代表，使得聯合國安理會將出現破紀錄的六名女性代表。

美國駐聯合國大使鮑爾是目前唯一一位聯合國安理會常任理事國的女性代表。

除了即將到任的約旦代表外，安理會中其他女性代表來自盧森堡、立陶宛、奈及利亞及阿根廷。
