安東尼 (Carmelo Anthony)今天接受ESPN訪問，他談到自己續約紐約尼克的心情與抉擇。安東尼表示，「我相信尼克總管傑克森 (Phil Jackson)的重建能力，尼克離總冠軍不遠。」

安東尼說，「我只想贏球，金錢不是我優先考量的重點」。雖然安東尼這麼說，但他還是與尼克簽下今年夏天最大的一分合約，總值五年1.24億美元。

談到好友詹姆斯 (LeBron James)決定重返克里夫蘭加入騎士，安東尼認為這對東區是好事，東區生態重新取平衡，連續四年摘下東區冠軍的熱火不再獨大，尼克有更多爭冠機會。
