大陸國台辦主任張志軍2日抵美，張志軍透露此行首日與美方「談得愉快」，並強調中美就台灣問題及時溝通、妥善處理一些問題，不僅有利於兩岸關係發展，也有利於中美兩國關係的穩定健康發展。對此，外交部北美司副司長梁毅鵬今（4）日表示「張先生」到美訪問安排，外交部事先都已經了解也都有掌握。

據中新網報導，張志軍2日抵美時，與美國常務副國務卿伯恩斯舉行約1小時的會晤。張志軍會後表示，這是就任國台辦主任以來首次訪美，是一次工作性訪問。

他說，台灣問題始終是涉及到中美關係政治基礎的重要問題，雙方及時進行溝通、妥善處理一些問題，不僅有利於兩岸關係發展，也有利於中美兩國關係的穩定健康發展。

張志軍指出，與伯恩斯的會晤也談到美國在台灣問題上一個中國政策問題，伯恩斯強調美國將繼續恪守一個中國政策和中美三個聯合公報，對兩岸關係和平發展取得的成果感到高興，希望這樣的和平發展繼續保持。

對此，梁毅鵬說，張先生到美訪問安排，外交部事先都已經了解也都有掌握，他在美方活動的情況，外交部都會與美方保持溝通、聯繫、了解，外交部會注意這個發展。
