監察院發出新聞稿指出，國防部自82年推動「十年兵力規劃」，迄今20年間，歷經多次組織及兵力結構調整。隨著兵力銳減，軍方原先使用的部分土地、營區、彈藥庫及演習場地，成為閒置空間，監察委員黃煌雄今日申請自動調查，將深入瞭解國防部是否善盡管理職責，妥善利用軍方土地資源。

監委表示，國防部自82年起陸續推動「十年兵力規劃」、「精實案」、「精進案兩階段」等兵力調整方案，同時也歷經「國防二法」、「國防六法」的實施，國軍組織與兵力結構經過空前的調整，許多空間釋出。

為使國有土地資源能發揮最大效益，監察院將深入調查國防部對於閒置空間資源的規劃運用，與國家政策及地方發展需求是否有效連結，並釐清相關行政責任。

名人口水戰隨著時代科技變遷，從電視打到網路，馮光遠昨臉書「火力全開」砲轟周玉蔻，「報導政府新聞還跟政府官員睡覺」、「利用自家媒體公器私用大批黃義交」。周玉蔻隨後親上火線，「正面迎戰」馮光遠的攻擊。
 
周在臉書發表聲明：「光遠大哥好狠，蔻姐好怕；光遠大哥才華橫溢，尚祈自重，蔻姐永遠愛慕你！」不過，光遠先生文中敘述與事實不符，及牽涉他人和另一新聞機構部分，恐傷及無辜，特別說明：光遠先生所提往事，發生在十五年前。本人結婚至今已十二年，家庭生活平靜幸福，多謝光遠先生關心。黃義交先生據知目前服務商界，一切安好，十分為他祝福。

光遠先生所謂政府包案一事，實為台灣省政府委託台視播出，本人製作的台灣五十節目，紀念台灣光復五十年的感人故事。當時本人不屬於任何新聞機構，是獨立新聞廣播電視節目製作人。案件受託過程，亦經由監察院及台北地檢署調查絕無不法在案，文件檔案俱在，也請光遠先生明察。

原設籍嘉義市番社里65歲男子「阿嘉」，去年因債務問題避往福建，2個月後腦溢血路倒，就醫診斷嚴重中風，轉介福州市公立救助站收容。由於在大陸無親友，台灣家屬斷絕聯繫，阿嘉滯留大陸1年多，昨天在紅十字會與海基會、海協會協助下返台就醫。未料踏上故鄉土地剛滿24小時，他就因肺炎、心衰竭急救無效，病逝台中榮總嘉義分院。

愛鄉慈善會總幹事蔡坤璋表示，阿嘉重病瘦成皮包骨，無法言語。昨天在病床上認出他，激動地眼眶泛淚。他告訴阿嘉寬心養病，「一切事情我來處理」，阿嘉還點頭回應。未料，今天下午阿嘉病情轉惡，今天下午5點多急救無效病逝。

蔡坤璋說，阿嘉醫藥費將由愛鄉慈善會與番社里長鄭秀玉籌募，喪葬部分，建成禮儀公司董事長郭進福願免費贊助，讓阿嘉好走。
