《CNBC》報導，消息來源透露，百萬富豪投資者Carl Icahn將在蘋果(AAPL-US)年度股東大會上提案，希望蘋果加碼購買庫藏股，但規模自先前他提議的1500億美元降至500億美元。

周三稍早，Icahn在推特上宣布，他已告知蘋果將提出建議性提案(precatory proposal)，推行提高股票回購規模的表決行動，「但不是達1500億美元的程度」。

建議性提案不具法律約束力。根據Thomson Reuters 的數據，Icahn約持有蘋果在外流通股0.5%。

蘋果股價當日交易時間泰半處於下跌，消息公布後並無轉漲。

蘋果聲明：「今年稍早我們已經將資本回報計畫擴大一倍至1000億美元，包括授權蘋果史上最大規模的股票回購計畫。因為我們一直定期進行審視，所以我們再次積極尋求股東對此計畫的投入，就如同10月時所說的那樣，管理階層和董事會目前正在討論周詳的計畫，如果目前的計畫有任何變動，會在2014年上半年宣布。」

Icahn受訪時也表示，他在11月26日已向蘋果提案，希望說服蘋果公司將1470億美元的現金儲備與股東分享。
