隔天跳印500期　《紐約時報》錯百年

【於慶中／綜合外電報導】14499加1是多少？應該是14500，但百年老報《紐約時報》在這裡卻犯了個錯誤，加成15000。

美國《紐約時報》每天都會在頭版上列出出版期數，但這個數字多了500期，且足足過了100年後才被員工發現。原來1898年2月6日，負責處理隔天頭版左上角出刊期數的員工，原本只是要在當天的14499期加上1期，卻加誤變成15000期。一直到1999年《紐時》新聞助理唐諾文(Aaron Donovan)對出刊數目起了好奇心，才發現多了500期。

但這個錯誤一直延到昨天(17日)，才由51753期改回今天的51254期。
