「我想每個人腦筋都一片空白了！」

面對德國在四強給予的痛擊，巴西主帥Luiz Felipe Scolari如此說到。

他說：「災難性的結果是全隊要一起面對，但是戰術安排與陣容編排是我負責，我要負起責任。」

在自家地盤被痛宰，巴西媒體與球評一面倒譴責，搞笑、恥辱字眼紛紛用上，甚至評為是歷史上的恥辱。

「我要給巴西國民的訊息是，我們已經嘗試了我們認為最可行的辦法。」Scolari指出，巴西輸給一支了不起的隊伍，「沒什麼好後悔的，我承受著我選擇的方式帶來的結果。」

同時他也否認這是Neymar缺陣帶來的影響，表示就算Neymar在，情形也不會改變太大，「德國的表現太棒了。」

Scolari說，德國在場上製造出的進攻機會，跟Neymar在不在沒有關係，「抱歉我們不能踢進決賽，但我們仍要盡力爭取第三名！」
