OpenOffice.org 是一套開放源始碼的免費文書處理工具，他包含了文書處理(Writer)、試算表(Calc)、簡報(Impress)、繪圖(Draw)、資料庫(Base)及數學工具(Math)，而且他亦兼容Microsoft Office的檔案格式，並且可以將文件輕易地輸出成flash、pdf等格式。

而在OpenOffice.org 3.0之後的版本中，則是支援Microsoft Office 2007、2010等檔案格式的開啟，並且提高相容性！而此可攜版本是由PortableApps所提供，但不可以放在有中文路徑的資料夾內，建議直接放至D槽或是隨身碟中使用。

而目前此軟體已經被昇陽公司所收購，而使用此軟體時，也必須安裝「JRE」，這點是必須要注意的地方。
