【黃楷棟／新北報導】胞弟為搶救新北泰山大火而殉職的高雄市消防局新莊分隊隊員陳奕達，今向內政部長李鴻源表達請調回嘉義家鄉任職的想法，他強調，雖然自己是因為弟弟進入消防工作，而且出勤救人也帶給他很多的成就感，但現在弟弟沒了，自己雖不希望離開消防這個大家庭，但若真的無法請調回嘉義任職，為了不讓雙親擔心，他會考慮離開工作崗位。
