英國《衛報》引述該報得自在逃美國國安局 (NSA)情報分析員史諾登的文件說，NSA有一套範圍最廣達的網路情蒐工具，叫XKeyscore，能夠監控「任何人在網路上的每一件事，從email內容，到你鍵訪過的所有網站、你的搜尋、聊天、號碼，還能用來監視實時網路活動。這套系統每天蒐集十億到20億筆紀錄。這項最新的爆說，NSA的情報分析員只要在線上填一份表格，向法院提出「廣泛籠統的理由」，就可用XKeyscore搜查任何網路用戶的資料。針對衛報的報導，NSA表示「NSA情蒐合法」。
