美國新任駐聯合國代表　強調美「領導」地位

【綜合報導】美國新任聯合國代表薩曼莎‧鮑爾（Samantha Power）5日在紐約的聯合國總部履新，她在發言時強調美國在聯合國的「領導」地位，而且「有其必要」。

美國參議院1日以87票對10票通過了歐巴馬對鮑爾的聯合國代表提名。鮑爾立即2日宣誓就任，5日向潘基文提交了全權證書。42歲的鮑爾2008年曾協助歐巴馬競選總統，並擔任他的對外政策顧問。

鮑爾原來是自由撰稿記者，2002年出版的《來自地獄的難題：美國和種族滅絕年代》獲普立茲新聞獎。鮑爾的丈夫、58歲的桑斯坦也是歐巴馬的顧問之一，目前在哈佛法學院任教。
