國際桌總年終總決賽　莊智淵負許昕無緣8強

【王毓健／綜合報導】國際桌球總會世界巡迴賽年終總決賽(ITTF World Tour Grand Finals)在杜拜開打，台灣由一哥莊智淵領銜共7人參賽。本屆所有選手中連續參賽最多12次的莊智淵，凌晨在16強戰以8比11、8比11、4比11、11比7、7比11，局數1比4不敵世界第2、中國左手直拍名將許昕。
 
年終總決賽自1996年創辦至今，是桌壇獎金最高職業賽，僅前一年度在世界巡迴賽戰績最佳選手可參賽。今年男、女單打各取16人外加地主保送1人，男、女雙打與21歲男、女單打都只有8席，總獎金100.4萬美元(約3019.2萬台幣)。
 
莊智淵今晚8點半將與陳建安搭檔在男子雙打首輪登場，對手是名列第3種子我國另一組合江宏傑／黃聖盛，這代表不論哪一方勝出，我國已至少鎖定1席4強。
