因爲小新是幼兒園生,而且永遠不會長大,在日本幼兒園的小朋友都喜歡用蠟筆畫畫或者寫字.
在日本時看過一則版外篇娛樂小故事(原作者著漫畫),講的是小新上小學一年級的第一天,那個小故事的標題就叫"鉛筆小新".
