行政院主計總處依交通部統計，今年10月底機動車輛登記數2,163 萬輛，和上年同月底相比減少 3.0％。

主計總處國情統計通報顯示，今年10月底機動車輛登記數2,163 萬輛，年減3.0％。其中機車1,431萬輛，約占6成6，減82萬輛，汽車732 萬輛，約占3成4，增15萬輛。依各縣市每百人擁有數觀察，機車以屏東縣76.8輛最多，其次為高雄市75.8輛，澎湖縣73.3輛，臺北市39.3輛最少；汽車則以南投縣38.3輛最多，新竹縣37.1輛居次，台中市36.5輛第三，連江縣22.0輛最少。另外，依經濟部能源局統計，1至10月汽柴油銷售量1,157萬公秉，比上年同期微跌，其中汽油812萬公秉，減0.4％，柴油346 萬公秉，增0.9％。
