《半島電視台》：氣爆撼台城市

國際媒體高度關注高雄凌晨氣爆，中東《半島電視台》於凌晨1時左右發布新聞，以「致命氣爆撼動台灣城市」為標題報導。
 
報導指出，事發在台灣南部城市高雄，有至少20人死亡，當中有5名消防員。報導中也引用行政院長江宜樺發言，稱昨天凌晨在人口有280萬的高雄，至少發生5起爆炸。另中央緊急應變中心表示，外洩氣體為丙烯，能夠和水一起流動，無法利用水撲滅，目前仍未找到洩漏源頭。（余浚安／綜合外電報導）
