　　本作是一款混合了巨型機器人「Titan」（タイタン）與步兵「Pilot」的 FPS，Titan 雖然身軀龐大，卻擁有敏捷的身手，而 Pilot不但可潛入建築物，還能善用 Wall Running（ウォールランニング）及 Jet Pack（ジェットパック）等技能，與對手展開軍事色彩濃厚的戰鬥。遊戲最大特色為機體可快速移動並以急速接近攻擊方式與對手交戰攻防的「Hit ＆ Fade」戰術，而玩家除了自己的機體外，還可操作稱為駕駛員的角色，由 AI 控制的機體及角色也會登場參戰。遊戲模式則包括多人同玩，以「Left 4 Dead」方式進行的戰役模式、對戰模式，以及單人的「One-Player Mode」模式等。

　　2013 年 10 月 4 日～6 日在澳洲雪梨舉辦的遊戲展「EB Games Sydney 2013」中，各界矚目的 Respawn Entertainment 開發 FPS 新作 PC／Xbox One／Xbox 360 版《Titanfall》發表最新遊戲內容，並佈長達約 20 分的介紹影片，由 Respawn Entertainment 社群經理 Abbie Heppe 負責解說。
